Fire Warnings
Conditions in the Australian bush during summer can be dangerous. As we all know the black Saturday fires in Victoria last year destroyed thousands of homes and took lives. We expect you to follow all fire safety rules responsibly, for your own and others safety.
ABSOLUTELY No candles, BBQs, gas cookers or fires permitted at the event. Only professionally installed gas cookers are permitted to be used inside vans and campers. Check with Fire Safety officers on site if unsure about any other equipment. BE VERY CAREFUL with your cigarette butts and make sure you dispose of them properly - canisters are available free of charge from the info tent.
Check for more detailed fire safety information on the website and in the event handbook provided on arrival.
Catastrophic Fire Risk Warning
Following from the tragedy of last years fires, a new warning system to help protect people in high risk areas has been introduced by the CFA. If there is a catastrophic (Code Red) forecast leading up to or during the event, patrons may be advised to seek a safer place to be rather than onsite. In this rare scenario, event days may be cancelled or postponed. You should watch news and weather forecasts leading up to the event and watch the website for up to date information should this situation become likely.
