Festivals now provide an amazing and growing context for thousands of people to learn about topics they had no idea about, or to participate in further learning, with a wide variety of people who you would never normally do so with.

This amazing developing context, of scholarly interest outside traditional scholarly context, enables us to bring you an amazing variety of wisdom from far and wide that could not be assembled in any other setting.

In the shady, comfortable surrounds of our Visions & Healing Village we will bring together presentations, workshops, and discussions, covering everything from healthy living, to didgeridoo, from bio-diesel, to natural medicine, from anthropology, to mathematics, politics, self awareness, self sustainability, artistic expression, freedom, and everything in between.

We want you all to be as involved as much as possible, spreading understanding and learning between each other! So please come with an open mind, ready to take on board something new, or gain new understanding of the ideas you already have.

Maitreya will provide a full program of learning and participation on all four days of the event from dawn till dusk for free, and there will be additional services offered for small costs throughout the event. There will be space and opportunity for spontaneous presentations or workshops throughout the event, however if you would like to hold something we would prefer to here about it and incorporate it into our programming.

This years main topics and themes will be posted here soon.

Maitreya community talent quest

Come All, Come Anyone at all, who wants to be a part of one of the greatest shows on Earth. “The Maitreya Festival Talent Quest.”

On the Sunday night of the festival just before its time for all the kiddies to go sleep, a quest will begin. A hunt for the magnificent one, the one who will make the crowd roar the loudest, it is they who will take home the prize.  The talent might be to dance, to sing, to juggle or maybe even a talent best have been kept to oneself, just as in the days of Caesar it’s all about the roar of the crowd. But! Beware the gong!

The winner gets a life time membership to the Maitreya Festival and the Maitreya Festival talent Quest’s winner’s trophy.

  1. Each contestant will have a maximum of 90 seconds
  2. Contestants can perform as soloists, duos or groups
  3. Bring all your own props (if any are needed)
  4. Be in fine form on Sunday night to entertain the pants of the audience
